I was fortunate to catch up with the great Bill Frisell on opening night of the Melbourne International Jazz Festival. We met backstage at the Melbourne Recital Centre before his When You Wish Upon A Star show.
I snuck in early with my photographer friend and fellow guitar nerd - Kristoffer Paulsen to set up a green room full of Harvesters with an amplifier. For nearly an hour Bill played and discussed the guitars with us, he found a talking point or a unique sound in each guitar and we enjoyed a solo gig for an audience of two.

It was a treat to watch Bill play my instruments and then to lend him a guitar for some transcendent local shows with his trio.
